Michael Stone's alleged confession to Damien Daley is a curious episode indeed. As Stone explains here, not only has he always emphatically denied any involvement in the Chillenden murders, but he was so concerned about other prisoners fabricating incriminating admissions that he asked to be placed in solitary confinement. Having arrived in solitary it is claimed that he incriminated himself by shouting his confession through the wall to the man in the next cell, a confession that is totally uncorroborated.
